Anne Boissard defended the publisher Plon in the lawsuit brought by the heirs of François Mitterrand over the release of the book “Le Grand Secret” in which François Mitterrand’s former personal doctor revealed his illness. In a ruling of 18 May 2004, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) handed down a judgement against France considering the ban ordered in the main proceedings to be contrary to Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
